Welcome to Jessica’s Restaurant

Jessica’s Restaurant is located on-site at the Swift House Inn in Middlebury, VT. The Swift House Inn, a former Governor’s house, was built in 1814 and has been excellently maintained and updated since it became an inn in 1983. Dan and Michele Brown have owned the inn since 2004.

Jessica’s Restaurant strives for a casual atmosphere that is welcome to all and perfect for any occasion. The décor reflects the comfort and style of a traditional New England country inn. Jessica’s Restaurant has three dining rooms: the main dining room that holds up to 30 guests, the library that holds up to 12 guests, and the indoor porch that holds up to 8 guests. The outdoor deck is available throughout the summer, weather permitting. The library and main dining rooms both feature gas fireplaces, making them prime locations for romantic winter dining.

The Swift House Inn is conveniently located just two blocks from downtown Middlebury. Whether you live locally and are looking for a nice evening out nearby, or you are one of our guests looking for a relaxing night in – Jessica’s Restaurant is in the perfect location. The inn is surrounded by expertly maintained lawns and gardens, including our raised beds filled with fresh herbs which we use for our menu items, and flowers which we use to decorate the inn. Watch the sunset from your dinner table or from one of our Adirondack chairs after dinner. Here at the Swift House Inn and Jessica’s Restaurant, we do our best to make each experience as enjoyable and memorable as possible.
